Job description

A US-based company that is pioneering the agricultural automation industry by utilizing intelligent robotics tech to build efficient solutions, is looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer. The engineer will be building the data lake to help revolutionize the company’s computer vision and machine learning pipeline to facilitate autonomous movement. The company promotes cross-discipline collaboration and is dedicated to developing intelligent machinery that will aid in the resolution of massive agricultural difficulties. They have raised more than $30mn during their Series B round of funding. This will be a great opportunity for engineers to create and manage cloud pipelines for extensive ML application components.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build visualization tools and dashboards with help from the product team, data scientists, and roboticists
  • Contribute and oversee Data ingestion, model training, and deployment
  • Construct solutions that meet the company's data management and versioning requirements.
  • Connect the ecosystem by building integrations across multiple existing and new tools
  • Execute and enhance data model, queries, and ETLs for complicated text, image, and sensor data
  • Create service-level interfaces for our Machine Learning and Big Data Platform

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5-7+ years of relevant experience as a data platform engineer
  • Extensive Python skills and experience
  • Experience with high dimensional data visualization tools like Plotly, Matplotlib, D3, Apache Superset, and Tableau
  • Experience working with interfaces like databases like PostgreSQL, Mongo, Athena, and InfluxDB
  • Experience developing microservices and cloud-native applications
  • Familiarity with Cloud-based data environment
  • Experience with modern data systems such as data lake, data mesh, cloud-based data, and processing
  • Experience working with Data pipeline in the cloud
  • Experience developing within the Jupyter ecosystem is nice to have
  • Prior experience with production ML platform is desirable
  • Nice to have some experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Kubeflow or Argo is preferred
  • Familiarity with ML Frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch is desirable
  • Prior experience dealing with a large amount of data
  • Must be an excellent communicator
