Job description

A US-based company building an efficient data onboarding platform that helps companies around the world migrate their data with ease, is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will work with the CEO and other tech leads while taking charge of diagnosing and fixing bugs in the application. By automating tedious and time-consuming processes, the company aims to break down barriers between people and data. They have secured more than $40mn in funding during their Series A round. The selected candidate will have a great chance to own large components and systems and captain the coordination and communication across teams.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • In addition to completing tasks, build a quality end-user experience
  • Contribute to the development of key components and systems 
  • Emphasize high-level coordination and communication across teams
  • Utilize experience to resolve major blockers/problems and help other teammates in doing the same 
  • Develop new features and resolve performance errors
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of experts across engineering, product, and design
  • Engage in pair programming with team members

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Mastery of one tech stack and awareness of others
  • Relevant experience working with technologies Node.js and Next.js
  • Familiarity with Typescript and its best practices 
  • Should be able to work with Postgres or MySQL
  • Prior experience in Redis development is preferred
  • Expertise in building secure APIs using GraphQL or REST is essential
  • Experience using Docker or similar container platforms will be helpful
  • Must work with a customer-oriented mindset to deliver quality products and superior user experience
  • Be collaborative, communicative, and skilled at giving and receiving feedback
