Job description

A leading provider of skill-based games and platforms for an emerging class of game players is looking to hire a Gaming Developer. The developer will focus on the architecture, design, estimation, and development of the gaming platform. The company, through casino operators, offers a new generation of entertainment with games that are certified and backed by industry-leading patents. The selected candidate will operate as a technical leader within the development team, utilizing good object-oriented design and development experience to craft high-quality solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
  • Work well with other staff, both local and external, to develop code that adheres to the written specifications
  • Take note of newly modified code and establish unit and integration tests to verify the changes
  • Analyze existing software to debug and troubleshoot field issues that may arise
  • Participate as required in process improvement initiatives
  • Foster the technical development of teammates via training and mentorship
  • Help with the requirements gathering for new product development and other responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a gaming developer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in C++, C#, and RPC technologies (GRPC)
  • Experience with Gaming engines (Unity/Unreal)
  • Proficiency in software systems design and architecture
  • Proficient with software engineering tools and applications
  • Experience with software VCS: Git, SVN, etc.
  • Experience with collaboration tools: Dropbox, MS Teams, JIRA, and Slack
  • Working knowledge of utilizing open-source technologies
  • Competency in adopting and integrating new technologies into product solutions
  • Understanding of networking and web protocols
  • Knowledge of software debugging in Windows or Linux environments
