Job description

A US-based technology company assisting energy manufacturers and consumers in the battle against climate change is looking for a Full-Stack Front-End-Heavy Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building innovative solutions while anticipating future requirements and meeting expectations. The company is transforming the energy industry by creating unprecedented access to relevant data and clean energy. The company has managed to raise $160mn+ during their Series E round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and Operations to deliver the best possible product 
  • Design, build and maintain internal user-facing experiences, APIs, services, and systems
  • Create automation and interactive self-service flows using technologies such as React, JavaScript and GraphQL
  • Develop solutions, optimize and scale Rails applications deployed via Kubernetes on AWS
  • Collaborate with other engineers, conduct code reviews, and mentor less experienced engineers
  • Deploy new functionality to production with a streamlined CI/CD pipeline
  • Increase the product quality by advocating for opportunities and improvements that will not only affect the work but also the engineering team at large

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end developer 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in React
  • At least 3 years of experience in Java
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in Typescript and Redux 
  • Nice to have experience in AWS, MySQL, MOCHA, and Hibernate
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
