Job description

A leading healthtech platform for doctors and patients, providing multi-channel communication options to give patients attention and response times, is looking for a Full-Stack, Back-End-Heavy Developer. The developer will lead the efforts on building the new portal and help refine the RESTful APIs for the patient-facing mobile and web apps. The platform enables doctors to deliver an elevated medical experience and the flexibility to personalize patient care by reducing the time spent on administrative tasks and focusing on what they do best. This will be a full-time role requiring a time zone overlap with US business hours.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team that supports a robust engineering-first culture
  • Work with a small mission-driven team that fully embraces flexible work hours

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or back-end developer
  • Solid understanding of Ruby and Rails
  • Have a soft spot for crafting delightful interfaces and improving user experience
  • Strong sense of ownership to accomplish tasks with minimal direction
  • Experience building, testing, and benchmarking web applications
  • Extensive experience consuming, designing, and creating RESTful APIs
  • Strong production deployment experience using modern tools 
  • Proficient with Docker and cloud computing platforms (AWS and Digital Ocean)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with React, Typescript, or Chrome Extensions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Prolific skills in building CI/CD pipelines
  • Conversant with healthcare data standards and integrations (HL7, FHIR, etc.)
