Job description

A US-based buyer and seller of luxury branded handbags, watches, fine jewelry, and accessories is looking for a Vue.js Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of building customer-facing applications for the company's list of coveted sellers. Breaking through the barriers of traditional luxury, the company is on a mission to make the world's most sought brands more accessible. They have managed to raise more than $38mn during their Series B round. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Mentor other engineers on and off the team and be an example of good code quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute the product vision
  • Create a scalable search experience as well as innovative product discovery methods
  • Work on cross-regional apps to address localization, caching, and routing concerns
  • Assist with the upkeep of a React component library established with Storybook
  • Transform designs into functioning applications that are up to standard
  •  Design, develop and operate highly scalable services and applications 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 5+ years of experience working with React.js or other JS frameworks in a production environment ​
  • Solid capacity to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
  • Deep fundamental level of JavaScript knowledge
  • Extensive experience building production-level code ​
  • Experience managing state for big web applications using Redux and Sagas
  • Understanding of web technologies like HTML/CSS, JS, and REST/JSON ​
  • Strong desire to collaborate with other engineers
  • Willing to pick up new languages, libraries, and frameworks as needed by the team
  • Familiarity with Typescript and NodeJS foundations
  • Experience configuring Webpack
  • Experience with Agile/Kanban methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to have fun in a small team environment
