Job description

An early-stage startup creating tools that empower customers and partners to grow and deliver better software faster is looking for a Solutions Engineer. As an engineer, you will understand the prospects' goals, architecture, and toolset, design the solutions, implement them, and drive the adoption. The company operates as a cloud-agnostic, DevOps automation platform providing simple infrastructure management on several clouds, application management, and DevOps tools. The selected candidate will work as a self-starter with deep experience introducing dev tools and cloud solutions to engineering teams while contributing to the next big thing.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales executives to understand prospects' needs and determine how the organization can assist them in shortening their release cycle
  • Demonstrate the product during webinars and sales calls, contextualizing it for the audience
  • Assist with the implementation process and serve as a technical advisor to the engineering team
  • Collaborate with product and R&D teams to learn about new features and introduce them to current customers
  • Give the product team feedback on features and the roadmap
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create content such as videos, review blog posts, and other relevant tasks
  • Work on troubleshooting and debugging applications
  • Ensure customers meet their goals and have a single technical focal point

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 2-3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer
  • 2-3+ years of experience as a sales engineer selling Devtools to engineering organizations 
  • 2-3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, containers, Helm, microservices, and Terraform is required
  • 2-3+ years of experience with cloud deployments like AWS, GCP, Azure, or DigitalOcean 
  • 5+ years of experience in Jenkins, Cloud, MySQL, and AWS RDS is a must
  • Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, Circle CI, Bamboo, or others is required
  • Familiarity with cloud-native services such as Lambda, SQS, SMS, and databases such as RDS, MySQL, Postgres is nice to have
  • Experience with early-stage startups is nice to have
  • Possess basic coding skills with good leadership qualities
  • Impeccable communication and presentation skills
