Job description

The selected candidate will be tasked with utilizing team management skills and training to take ownership of a team of automation/manual testers. The company is providing world-class cloud utility technology and solutions to users and businesses in the energy industry. Job Responsibilities:

  • With a thorough understanding of the development life cycle, testing areas, and methods, lead the development of the Automation Test Strategy
  • Capabilities for automated testing and the capacity to construct frameworks where none exist
  • Experience with other automated frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, and BDD is highly desired
  • Nice to have some familiarity with Cypress
  • Extensive experience with JIRA, Xray, and other test management software
  • Ability to work on numerous projects at the same time while adhering to deadlines
  • Using automated test tools, create test strategies, test cases, and automated test scripts
  • Be in line with project test plans, interpret, perform, record, and evidence test cases
  • Analyze and report on test findings and actions
  • Create functional and non-functional test cases and test data in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Implement hands-on automation testing and manual testing where required.
  • To ensure reusability and reliability, use industry best practices while developing test cases
  • Contribute to the QA process by writing documents and running regression tests.
  • Create and manage test automation frameworks and test suites that are efficient, reusable, and easy to maintain
  • Plan, build, and execute test cases and suites in collaboration with product and engineering teams
  • Integrate test scripts with the help of business analysts, developers, and quality analysts (Unit, sanity, system, regression, integration)

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an Automation engineer
  • 5+ years of experience working with Quality Assurance
  • At least 4+ years of experience with Integration Testing, Unit Testing, Automation Testing, and Cypress
  • 2+ years of experience with Jira
  • Nice to have 2+ years of experience with Jira
  • Prior experience mentoring junior developers and with team management
  • Knowledge of testing software is crucial
  • Prolific experience with C#, JavaScript, Selenium, Cypress, and SQL Server
  • Prior experience in Agile methodology
  • Demonstrable experience in testing APIs, web services, and webpages
  • Experience in the energy industry is desirable
  • Knowledge of Git, for Source Control, with knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and test management tools such as Xray
