Job description

A US-based company that manufactures electric vehicles and strives to reduce carbon emissions, is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer. The developer will be responsible for optimizing and managing the existing automation testing environment that is already running in multiple environments within the project. The company is dedicated to making the world a better place by lowering emissions from fossil fuels and making the transition to electric vehicles easier and more efficient. The company has managed to raise funding worth more than $10bn so far.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write test automation frameworks and build the infrastructure and tools to test products
  • Write code that automatically verifies the quality of the product 
  • Build out testing APIs/services/tools that enable other team members to scale them further
  • Perform detailed source code reviews focusing on the testability of the code to improve product coverage and effectiveness
  • Provide technical guidance to overall architecture and design
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, consistency, and performance in production

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of experience in Software Automation Testing
  • 3+ years experience on Jira and Bitbucket
  • 3+ years of experience working with Testing tools
  • Extensive Cypress experience
  • Work with Agile and CI/ CD methodology
  • Strong knowledge and experience in SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Prolific experience working with JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Great team player with excellent collaborative skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
