An over-the-top video streaming platform active in the entertainment industry is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer (Web). The engineer will be charged with developing scalable user-facing features for the website and delivering reusable, high-quality code and libraries. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the product stakeholders to provide the latest user-facing website features 
  • Deliver reusable, high-quality code and libraries for future use to be implemented across multiple projects
  • Guarantee the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and carry out integrations
  • Collaborate with other members of the team, including the designers and stakeholders, to administer the features

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Expert skills in JavaScript development
  • Highly enthusiastic, with a flair for learning new technologies and frameworks
  • Proficiency in necessary frameworks such as React, AngularJS, etc.
  • Prior experience with open source contribution is a plus
  • Expertise in code versioning tools like Git
  • Good understanding of front-end build tools, such as Grunt or Gulp
  • Proficiency with the Cantonese language is preferred
