Job description

An emerging company that is revolutionizing how businesses handle mergers and acquisition payments and the post-closing period is looking for a Senior Product Developer. The selected candidate will be architecting, developing, and maintaining full-stack web projects while working in an agile team environment. The US-based company is continuously building innovative solutions to address the issues that slow down multi-faceted financial transactions. They managed to raise $5mn+ during their Series A round of funding. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Build fast and resilient product features, systems, and experiences
  • Assist the remainder of the product team in making strategic decisions
  • Translate complicated problems, customer needs, and corporate goals into practical development objectives
  • Take charge of development projects from start to finish, including concept, implementation, iteration, deployment, and support
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to establish feature requirements and bring concepts to reality
  • Mentor and guide developers on industry's best practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a product developer
  • Extensive experience working with Ruby on Rails and MySQL
  • Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals and object-oriented programming principles
  • Extensive experience developing full-stack web projects
  • Knowledge of Git or another modern version control system 
  • Must possess detail-oriented techniques with a pragmatic approach to delivering
  • Professional ability to provide and accept immediate feedback
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, HAProxy, Nginx, HTML, S/CSS, RabbitMQ, Redis, or Memcached is nice to have
  • Prior experience working with operations to build and scale back-end infrastructure is desirable
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and related libraries like jQuery and Backbone.js is nice to have
  • Nice to have some prior experience working at a SaaS company
