Job description

A fast-growing start-up offering cloud-based, human resource solutions for small to medium-sized firms is looking for a Senior/Lead Fullstack Engineer. The engineer will lead the team and be responsible for building, analyzing, and scaling different system resources. The company has raised a total of $3.5mn in funding over 2 rounds from top investors such as Y Combinator, Maschmeyer Group Ventures, and other venture capital firms. The role is suitable for those who are open to learning and implementing best practices in new languages while collaborating in a polyglot environment.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Architect and build from third parties and integrate platform services such as authentication, messaging, mailing, etc
  • Support the team in building new features, fixing bugs, and bringing new tools and ideas to the table
  • Build applications to efficiently function on both the front-end and the back-end 
  • Write high-performance APIs with business logic to make customer-focused and pixel perfect front-ends
  • Design and creation of scalable software through the implementation of successful, clean, functional code
  • Mentor and lead an existing team of junior engineers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in Node, TypeScript, React, C# or Ruby
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Lead
  • Demonstrated ability and experience leading others
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties
  • Prior working experience in building developer tooling
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
