Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is helping parents build a better future for their children by providing them revolutionary access to simple, cost-effective financial solutions, is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the CTO and engineering team to seamlessly execute and build new products and features. The fintech company is on a mission to empower parents to invest and secure their children's future with crypto. The US-based company has managed to raise $35mn+ during their Series B round of funding. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Iterate quickly by adding up new business features to the application
  • Actively engage in code reviews within teams
  • Deliver high-quality solutions while maintaining  aggressive timelines
  • Brainstorm solutions for proper upkeep of existing systems
  • Work closely with the CTO and engineering team to build new products 
  • Maintain and advocate high-quality codes through code reviews 
  • Drive innovation within the team by actively confronting ambiguous problems 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Experience with designing complex, secure, and scalable services and applications 
  • Prolific experience working with Python 3.6+, preferably with Django
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in writing unit and integration tests e.g. Pytest
  • Nice to have experience working with cloud development systems, preferably AWS
  • 4 years of minimum experience with databases, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Knowledge of back-end liaising with native mobile apps e.g., REST/JSON
  • Demonstrable experience in CI/CD development 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and fluency in verbal and written English 
  • Proven experience integrating into third party services/platforms
  • Thorough understanding of core development tools BitBucket/GitHub and Jira
  • Nice to have experience in API documentation standard Swagger, AWS CloudFormation, AWS SAM (Serverless Experience) and Celery
  • Analytical and critical thinking ability
