Job description

An NYSE-listed company helping firms build their businesses and save time with tools that connect their entire business is looking for a Quality System Automation Tester. The selected candidate will be working with a Tech lead on the team and will have access to the developers. The mobile payment company and merchant services provider strives to make commerce easier through technology. The company has so far secured funding worth more than $600 mn. This role requires 5+ hours overlap with the EST time zone.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Help the existing team to de-risk the features
  • Test the Android platform applications
  • Understand how the team tests and provide ideas to automate
  • Participate actively in design discussions and code reviews with developers
  • Collaborate with partner teams to recognize missing API’s and mocks required for automation
  • Understand priority of bugs/testing to maximize value
  • Take ownership over the system and understand how it works
  • Be a strong technical partner to collaborate with Quality Engineers, DSE Product, DSE Platform, DSE Product Delivery, and SWEPM
  • Understand existing test coverage across products
  • Write computerized tests within an evolving test structure
  • Guide and mentor the team on best practices of Android Application testing

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Expresso framework in Java or Kotlin, and Python
  • Demonstrable experience with YAML/BASH and RachDash/Kochiku 
  • Nice to have some experience working with Test rack
  • Prolific UI testing experience
  • Familiarity with automation infrastructure
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Experience with hardware is desirable
  • Experience with CI systems like Jenkins is nice to have
