Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is building an efficient platform for influencer marketing and audience growth is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer. The selected candidate will participate in internal testing activities and will be a crucial part of the team’s initiatives. The US-based company is developing an influencer marketing platform designed to revolutionize the way brands connect with the world. They have managed to successfully raise $3.5mn+ in funding so far. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with functional and product teams to build new features 
  • Ensure that the product meets quality standards and are delivered in a timely manner
  • Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents while offering timely and meaningful feedback
  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and plans
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
  • Carry out in-depth regression testing after fixing bugs 
  • Liaise with internal teams like the developers and product managers to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Work through the causes of non-conforming software and train users to enforce solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Be current on new testing tools and test strategies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a software engineer
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Developer
  • Expertise in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Competency in coming up with clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Be conversant with both white box and black box testing
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting 
  • Prolific skills working with MariaDB or other MySQL databases
  • Ability to write complex select queries as well as update and insert
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Fluent in written and spoken English communication
