Job description

A US-based company providing direct-to-consumer e-commerce personalized flower arrangements and related services is looking for a QA Engineer. The engineer will be helping to build a best-in-class customer experience while collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers in the team. Job Responsibilities:

  • Review functional and technical specifications and participate early in the SDLC to inform your test strategy
  • Engage in strong peer leadership and mentoring less experienced QA engineers as the team grows
  • Work actively in helping the broader development team establish best practices according to modern methodologies
  • Leverage your extensive experience in designing, documenting, and executing test plans
  • Build automated tests using a scriptless web testing platform
  • Contribute toward establishing a QA knowledge base
  • Recognize and call out potential improvements for the UI/UX
  • Be confident in speaking up about new features that seem confusing or in need of improvement
  • Identify gaps in test coverage and processes, and propose plans to close the gaps
  • Apply your expertise to help streamline the QA process and foster efficient collaboration between developers and QA
  • Help develop products that bring joy to thousands of people’s lives each day
  • Attend occasional virtual meetings such as standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and all-hands

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a QA engineer in a senior role, ideally in e-commerce
  • Embody a detail-oriented passion for perfection, paired with a healthy dose of realism
  • Hands-on experience with Jira
  • Proficient with automation tools/platforms (i.e., Testim, Mabl, 21labs, Kobiton)
  • Knowledge of test management tools (i.e., Xray, TestRail)
  • Experience working with a fully remote, geo-distributed team
  • Competency in working with SQL (even better if it’s MySQL or Snowflake)
  • Some hands-on experience with a scripting language (i.e., JavaScript, Python)
  • Work with an amazing team and company culture that you'll love being a part of
  • Fluency in English language
