Job description

A US-based company that provides a booking and software platform for moving companies is looking for a QA Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating and carrying out explorative and automated inspections to prove the product quality. The company focuses on building trust and transparency in moving while assisting small business owners in creating wealth and boosting the overall economy. Job Responsibilities:

  • Create best-in-class cloud-based B2B2C SaaS solutions
  • Collaborate with development, product, and customer teams to engineer bug fixes and identify areas for improvement in our product suite
  • Carry out manual and automated testing
  • In collaboration with the fast-paced team, test, document, and deploy codes
  • Examine requirements, specifications, and technical design documents in order to provide timely and relevant feedback
  • Design and develop test plans and cases that are detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured
  • Carefully estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate test activities
  • Using open-source tools, create, develop, and execute automation scripts
  • Identify, record, thoroughly document, and track bugs
  • When bugs are fixed, perform extensive regression testing
  • Passionately seek answers and solutions without being told to 
  • Sympathize with users and help create a product that works well for them
  • Bring your authentic self to work and develop a product that matters to users
  • Be confident, genuine, and clear in your communication

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant software testing experience with strong knowledge of Ruby/Rails and NodeJS
  • Extensive expertise in web/mobile consumer-facing projects
  • Ability to showcase good judgment, particularly in times of high pressure, and estimate tasks appropriately
  • Capacity to independently structure and manage workflow and priorities 
  • Excellent English communication and collaboration skills are a must
  • Experience with automation testing platforms and testing RESTful web services
  • Experience in debugging complex problems
  • Experience with system testing, Integration testing, Functional testing, Back-end testing, Regression testing, and User acceptance testing with different testing tools
  • Competency in using source control (Git, GitHub) and feature branching strategies 
  • Knowledge of various open-source databases (MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Cassandra, etc.) 
  • Previous experience with B2B2C SaaS, CRM, or other cloud-based software is a plus
  • Experience working with Twilio modules is a plus
  • Prolific skills in working with containers, such as Docker or Kubernetes 
  • Understand the idea behind Chaos Engineering, even without implementing it
