Job description

A US-based company that is creating an innovative platform to help businesses with lead funnels, websites, and marketing systems, is looking for a QA Engineer. The selected candidate will collaborate with other engineers and team members to monitor all stages of the software development. The platform's advanced services help businesses across the mortgage, real estate, and insurance industries to make an impact and generate more leads. Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end testing, executing manual test cases and test scripts to find flaws
  • Create highly reliable and scalable automated test cases using best practices, methodologies, and tools
  • Create and maintain test plans that are detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured based on acceptance criteria
  • Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases that account for failures and edge cases as well as expected success scenarios
  • Examine test results and create detailed bug reports with reproducible steps
  • Determine the root cause of test case failures by identifying and investigating them
  • Produce and distribute quality assessment reports
  • Run test cycles to put our software through its paces before releasing it to customers.
  • Participate in the development and upkeep of continuous integration testing systems.
  • Work with the product management team to analyze product development, design collaborative features, and deliver new products and features.
  • Have a strong passion for testing that is always user-centered. You believe that every engineer is responsible for providing an excellent user experience.
  • Be the customer's voice, testing with empathy for customer usage patterns.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a software engineer
  • Experience in web development (HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery and React.js
  • Proficiency in at least one strongly typed object-oriented programming language, preferably Go, PHP, and/or Laravel 7/8 PHP Framework
  • Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including a firm understanding of design principles, patterns, models, and data structures
  • GIT version control and workflow experience is required
  • Extensive experience writing test cases in a test case management tool such as Zephyr, HP ALM, Jira (with plugins), and so on
  • Ability to identify and solve problems in the most effective and efficient manner
  • Capability to think outside the box
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities for reproducing bugs and investigating software/system failures
  • Experience with Centos7 or a similar Linux distribution
  • Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, including agile methodologies
  • Problem solver who is both creative and efficient
  • Understanding of user interfaces, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and industry standards a desire to learn new technologies
  • Thorough in completing tasks on time, with high quality, and with attention to detail (written and verbal)
