Job description

A US-based company empowering individuals to trade in free and fair markets by leveraging the solutions and products built just for them, is looking for a QA Engineer. The engineer will be reporting to the Development Lead and working with a mix of front-end, back-end, and blockchain technologies. The emerging company is running on a large distributed system that can handle a high amount of traffic every second. This role will require some overlap with the US time zone.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure quality applications
  • Execute tests and ensure results achieve documented goals and objectives
  • Define criteria for testing, analyzes results of testing cycles, and present results
  • Execute test scripts using test tools following the defined testing methodology
  • Analyze business and technical requirements/user stories and use-cases
  • Design clear and concise test cases, execute and document test results
  • Perform functional, integration, and end-to-end testing, including back-end, front-end web application testing, and back-end-blockchain application testing
  • Define comprehensive scenarios and variations in data to adequately perform testing
  • Collaborate and assist fellow developers, designers, and analysts to solve problems
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts
  • Create and track bugs until closure in Github and conduct defect triage

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a QA Engineer
  • Prolific knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript, Python, and Solidity
  • Experience testing large-scale web-based applications in a formal QA work environment
  • Experience writing tests for Solidity contracts and using the hardhat-ethers-waffle-chai-mocha testing stack
  • Experience in driving the QA process for software testing is desirable
  • Experience with Automation, load and/or performance testing is a plus
  • Nice to have some experience programming and testing Python and eager to learn about the DeFi industry
  • Fluent in conversational and written English
  • Ability to communicate ideas eloquently in a team environment
