Job description

A fast-growing company that has established itself as a leading specialist in the Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) industry is looking to hire a QA Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for testing software to ensure quality, reliable, scalable solutions for financial software products. The company leverages the services of funding specialists who work with business owners across various industries to help them acquire the working capital they need to reach their business goals. This will be a long-term opportunity for the selected candidate. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements specifications documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality testing activities
  • Coordinate with Product Owners and Technical Architects to ensure quality feedback loops are maintained
  • Design and implement tests, debugging and defining corrective actions
  • Identify, record, thoroughly document, and track bugs
  • Play a key role in the development process, working with developers to ensure a thorough understanding of how the product works and readiness to pick it up once development finishes
  • Work on testing for the back-end logic, APIs, and UI
  • Perform different levels of testing such as regression testing, sanity testing, smoke testing, etc.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product owners) to identify system requirements and debug results
  • Engage in a broad range of testing tasks and track quality assurance metrics
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Quality Assurance engineer
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience in software quality assurance
  • Solid experience in any programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.
  • Experience working with Selenium automation testing, Jmeter, etc. is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Solid experience in automation tools for unit, functional, API, UI, performance, and/or security testing
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • JIRA knowledge will be an advantage
  • Experience in Git is mandatory
