Job description

The selected candidate will assist and facilitate the Agile process across all cross-functional teams. The US-based digital marketing agency specializes in lead generation, customer acquisition, and performance-based marketing services and solutions. Job Responsibilities:

  • To reduce repeated manual testing, create and maintain clear, simple, and complete test automation scripts using PHP/JavaScript
  • Examine the requirements, offer suggestions for missing business flows and strategies, certify user stories, and report defects
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts that need initiative and inventiveness, as well as a high level of independent judgment
  • Wield a collaborative mentality, operational and business expertise, and a dedication to delivering high-quality builds on time
  • Be adaptable and bring in backup team members as needed or if the workload changes

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a QA Automation Engineer
  • 5+ years of experience with agile software development testing
  • Extensive experience reviewing user stories, acceptance criteria, and other available information in order to develop manual and automated test plans and test scenarios
  • 2+ years of experience creating automated scripts using Autify or Selenium WebDriver with PHP/JavaScript or equivalent programming/scripting languages
  • Prolific experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber/Codeception
  • Experience testing both Front-End (UI/UX) and Back-End technologies like API, Grey-box, and Data integrity for web applications
  • Prior experience testing web applications in cross-browser and cross-device settings using automated tools
  • Knowledge of the Agile and/or Kanban software development methodologies 
  • Some experience with API testing, manual testing using tools like Postman/swagger, and automated testing with REST Assured/CURL
  • Strong CI/CD background with working knowledge of deployment automation and tools like Jenkins, Docker, etc
  • Demonstrable ability to work within a collaborative source-code repository system like Git, GitHub, etc
  • Experience using Cloud-based service testing (AWS is a plus) and basic environment setup
  • Experience with bug tracking software like Jira
  • Nice to have some knowledge of Database/Data Warehouse testing
  • Prior experience with Performance Testing over cloud environments is desirable
  • Familiarity with Financial and Ad Domains is nice to have
  • Competency in creative thinking, problem-solving, innovations, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Profound skills in verbal and written communication
