Job description

A US-based company developing a collaborative hiring platform that provides great experiences for recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates, is looking for a Python Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be collaborating with product teams and engineers across the organization to deliver exceptional product features. The company is determined to help businesses explore and establish a better way to acquire, engage and hire talent. During their Series A round, the company has managed to raise more than $7mn in funding. This will be a full-time role requiring some overlap with the GMT +2 time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and build a SaaS product with a well-structured modular design that focuses on strong application- database integration
  • Create efficient, high-performance server-side applications at the database and business logic levels
  • Make use of cutting-edge technologies and open-source libraries
  • Participate in the design of APIs, schema, and data flow with the team
  • Work in a growing startup company's dynamic and challenging environment

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 2+ years of experience with Django and Python
  • Knowledge of software design and REST API design principles
  • Knowledge of SQL is nice to have
  • Familiarity with NoSQL and MongoDB is preferred
  • Understanding of OOP, JSON, Apache, and Linux is a must
  • Familiarity with Ubuntu is nice to have
  • Knowledge of social network APIs is a plus
  • Must have impeccable English skills
