Job description

A US-based company that provides financial reporting and performance management software to its clients is looking for a Program Manager. The selected candidate will add value to acquisition integration transitional components by completing any outstanding prerequisites or follow-up items for smoother operations. The organization has a client base of more than 30,000 businesses that count on them for business needs in terms of finance, operations, supply chain, tax, and HR, to name a few. The company has managed to successfully raise close to $800mn+ in funding. Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects at the same time, each with its own set of activities, deliverables, and interdependencies that involve both internal and external teams
  • Monitor project deliverables and timelines, with a strong emphasis on progress measurement, analysis, and reporting
  • Plan and coordinate small to medium-sized projects through the typical project phases of discovery, design, development, deployment, and operations
  • Manage vendor communication and follow up on vendor tasks to ensure projects are completed successfully
  • Maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion
  • Capture and escalate risk that arises on a project to aid in the mitigation or avoidance of project disruptions
  • Provide status reports to the senior director or a steering committee, as appropriate for the size of the engagement
  • Learn the team's operational procedures to ensure appropriate guidance while owning project deliverables
  • Drive operational alignment and improvement initiatives for newly acquired businesses
  • Look for ways to increase operational bandwidth

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of project management experience with demonstrated results
  • Ability to accept ambiguity and constant change while seeking an understanding of the project's business impacts and the necessary detail
  • Passion for working in a cross-functional team and collaborating with various groups to understand business objectives and deliver on team goals
  • Understanding and working knowledge of software implementations is a must
  • Project management, system implementation, and system integration experience are nice to have
  • Excellent PC skills with strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheets are required
  • Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational, decision-making, research, analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and offer excellent support for business systems 
  • Sound adaptability to changing needs/environments
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills by motivating and directing teams of indirect resources
