Job description

A US-based company that is building an efficient and seamless digital advertising marketplace for customers is looking for a Product Engineer. The engineer will be working with multiple systems and technologies while solving challenging problems. The company is providing businesses with comprehensive programmatic technology solutions and a trading desk. This position requires 4-5+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest development best practices and apply findings with the team
  • Handle APIs from client-side and server-side communication to back-end collection and manipulation
  • Work with the engineering team to future data products
  • Collaborate with the front-end to implement new features on the platform
  • Take ownership of the data pipeline stack to provide support in the event of systems failure
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code 
  • Maintain and design new data products and ship them 
  • Meet performance goals including data delivery, data availability, data granularity, data latency, data security, pipeline errors, and issue response times
  • Work with a technology stack that includes AWS services, Python, Bash, SQL, and GitHub

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience in Python, SQL, AWS, Docker or Kubernetes
  • Nice to have experience in Machine Learning, Redis, and ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
  • Proficient in verbal and written English
