Job description

A US-based company that is using the power of AI technology to automate the typing process, is looking for a Product Designer. The developer will work closely with the founders and is expected to create beautiful and effective, UX-heavy designs from scratch. The company's AI-powered software makes contextually aware suggestions tailored to fit the user's specific writing style. The company has managed to raise funding worth more than $2mn so far. Job Responsibilities:

  • Design smooth onboarding experiences for new users and new tools
  • Create mockups/sketches and user flows that the existing engineers can use to implement quickly
  • Design an experience that works well across every website and feels well-integrated with each website
  • Create and develop fun interactions to make using the extension a memorable experience (think gamification and/or user education)
  • Explore new ideas, flesh out requirements, and clear up any ambiguity
  • Design a dashboard experience / other mechanisms to show users how much time the company’s product saves them
  • Plan, develop, iterate, and execute more writing-related tools other than autocomplete such as quickly rephrasing emails, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 2+ years of experience with UX/UI/Product Design
  • Experience working with PMs to take an idea from conception to requirements to set of wireframes and user flows that can be handed off to the engineering team
  • Extensive UI/Visual design skills
  • Prior experience working in an early stage or startup environment is nice to have
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
