Job description

A US-based company on a mission to revolutionize the healthcare system to meet the needs of women is looking for a Platform and Integrations Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for building developer tooling to maximize efficiency while also developing internal libraries and APIs to support the product teams. With their ecosystem of goods, tools, and services, the company is creating the next generation of women's healthcare platform, leveraging the power of innovation to help women thrive. During their Series B round, the company managed to raise funding worth over $100mn. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Improve engineering efficiency by optimizing existing systems
  • To support the platform, implement back-end services
  • Create integrations with a variety of healthcare and EHR systems
  • Develop internal developer tooling to enhance the platform's developer experience
  • Participate in exciting projects in areas like CI/CD, logging, integration testing, monitoring, and other related topics
  • Help the existing team to increase integration test coverage and clean up systems
  • Work with the AWS stack, including Cloudformation and CodePipeline, with unlimited support requests
  • Take ownership of a wide breadth of responsibilities that enables exploration of all corners of web service engineering
  • Work on technical debt, existing system optimization, and new developer tooling
  • To accomplish the company's commercial goals, use innovation to tackle innovative difficulties and be encouraged to master new technology

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5-7+ years of relevant experience as a platform and integration engineer
  • Demonstrable experience with Node.js, Typescript, React, Express, and ES6
  • Prolific experience working with PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, ECS, Lambda, Git, Docker, and Cloudformation
  • 2+ years of expertise with web services and server-side JavaScript 
  • Extensive knowledge of data modeling and relational databases 
  • Experience building modular software that neatly divides concerns
  • Prior queue management and debugging experience
  • Accept responsibility for previous mistakes and use them as opportunities to learn and progress
  • Develop strong debugging skills and attempt to understand the tools and the system in construction
  • Excellent team player who interacts well with others
