Job description

A well-established global company that is providing transportation services to consumers along fixed routes, is looking for a Machine Learning-Data Algorithm Engineer. The engineer will be working on formulating and contributing to identifying the company’s short-term and long-term problems. The company provides private buses and vans for intra and inter-city travel along predetermined routes at fixed rates to customers. The platform has managed to raise more than $170mn in funding so far. This is a great opportunity for candidates to showcase their skill sets and experience rapid career growth.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement creative (PoCs)
  • Work on complex mathematical models and use search, graph, computational geometry or related algorithms
  • Use techniques like metaheuristics, constraint programming, linear programming, etc. to solve optimization problems
  • Analyze and process data to extract meaningful insights and draw conclusions
  • Experiment and evaluate research outcomes and proposed solutions
  • Contribute to identifying and troubleshooting the company’s short-term and long-term challenges
  • Participate in the entire product development lifecycle from understanding the business needs to the final delivery

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Must possess 5-8 years of relevant industry experience
  • Prior working experience in data science: data analysis, machine-learning methods, statistical modeling, and testing is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of advanced algorithms and optimization theory
  • Sufficient knowledge of coding and design concepts
  • Ability to apply knowledge in real-life problems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
