Job description

An NYSE-listed company providing banking services to millions of people in hundreds of countries and cities is looking for a Java Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing the application architecture with the team in a fast-paced environment. The company has over 200 years of experience in assisting clients in meeting the world's most difficult challenges and seizing its most exciting opportunities. Job Responsibilities:

  • Improve risk management to modify the clearing business for Exchange Traded Derivatives
  • Simplify trade processing by automating manual flows and migrating to a containerized cloud architecture
  • Design the application architecture with the team in an Agile environment
  • Implement solutions, train and mentor junior team members, and test and deploy solutions
  • Build reusable libraries and components that can be shared with the rest of the organization

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 6+ years of experience in application development using Java, SQL, and at least one messaging platform (MQ/ TIBCO/ Kafka/ Solace)
  • Prior experience developing web applications in JavaScript, Angular, HTML, and CSS
  • Working knowledge of the Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes platform for designing and building cloud-native apps with a microservices architecture
  • Experience in API development and application security best practices (Oauth, TLS, PKI, etc.)
  • Distributed Cache (Redis, Gemfire, etc) experience is nice to have
  • Experience developing in Python and any familiarity with AI/ML/ NLP is a plus
  • Understanding of Listed Derivatives, particularly futures contracts, and clearing workflow is desirable
  • Familiarity with FIX protocol and prior experience developing low latency, high volume applications is a plus
  • Proficiency in English
