Front-End UI/UX Engineer

A fast-growing technology startup delivering actionable predictive insight across the financial and human world is looking for a Front-End UI/UX Engineer. The engineer will join the team with extensive experience in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Cryptocurrency technology to build and develop elegant solutions that improve the software. Job Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain highly reusable JavaScript, HTML, and CSS code
• Understand the tech stack, business model, and other limitations to provide technical advice where necessary
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the team
• Plan, build, and design solutions focusing on future needs and requirements

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant front-end and UI/UX design experience
• Capable of writing JavaScript (ES6) and semantic HTML(5)
• Prolific skills in CSS, SCSS, and SASS
• Comfortable with package managers such as (Yarn, NPM, etc.)  
• Have an in-depth understanding of various front-end frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation, Tailwind, etc.
• Solid understanding of SPAS, front-end state management with technologies such as Redux/VueX
• Comfortable with build packs and minifiers such as Webpack 
• Excellent collaboration skills to follow best practices using Git and GitHub 
• Solid understanding of system testing and previous knowledge of React/VueJS
• Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and the ability to debug critical issues along with writing documentation
• Familiarity with third-party APIs and in building flexible systems
• Comfortable working with data-intensive applications
• Excellent English communication skills and can work well within a team
• Knowledge of setting up and navigating a Ruby on Rails project (or similar frameworks such as Django and Laravel) 
• Some basic understanding of databases (such as PostgreSQL, and MySQL)
• Familiarity with templating engines (for example, ERB, Smarty, Liquid)
• Basic knowledge of web security (XSS, SQL injection, etc.)
