A rapidly-growing company that is helping users to gain access to a car wherever and whenever they need it through their iOS or Android device, is looking for an Engineering Manager. The selected candidate will be taking ownership of important architecture and foundational decisions in services and back-end infrastructure. The US-based company is building a global platform to enable a future where all cars are shared. The company has managed to secure $560mn+ in funding so far.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Continually improve the hiring process and onboard talented, motivated, and thoughtful engineers
  • Mentor junior engineers and help guide their career development
  • Effectively communicate your team’s progress and challenges
  • Work with the leadership to gain access to the resources you need to build something great
  • Establish a roadmap alongside product and design teams that aligns with the priorities of the larger organization and commit to stringent deadlines
  • Implement effective engineering processes and policies that emphasize quality and forward progress
  • Manage project scope and inter-team dependencies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • A minimum of 1+ year of management experience
  • Must have at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing services or backend infrastructure
  • Proficient in at least one programming language
  • Prolific experience with Python and Flask
  • Demonstrable experience in agile development in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
