Job description

A well-funded seed-stage startup that is powering the future of business lending on the internet is looking for a Back-end Node.js Engineer. The developer will be working on complex business and technology that requires grit, determination, and persistence. The company is backed by top Silicon Valley investors and dedicates itself to accelerating the digital economy and offering value-added lending options to customers. This is a nice opportunity for developers to accelerate their careers while working on revolutionary technologies. It is a full-time role that requires some time overlap with the PST time zone.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on API integrations, loan onboarding software development, payments integration, etc.
  • Make critical decisions about the technology built 
  • Help define the engineering values and culture of the company
  • Work on APIs and widgets for end customers to integrate
  • Build and develop loan origination and underwriting software
  • Work with the complete software development life cycle, from the idea phase down to production
  • Write clean, testable code, and refactor as capabilities evolve
  • Perform integrations with external APIs to retrieve and store critical data
  • Maintain and optimize the developer admin portal for end customers to manage their lending programs

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Prolific skills with Java, Kotlin, and Python
  • Extensive knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Experience working with CI/CD, test-driven development
  • Understand microservice principles and modern architecture design patterns
  • Nice to have some previous experience in building B2B software
  • Strong experience with frameworks like Nest.js, React, and Next.js is preferred
  • Skilled with cloud infrastructures like GCP and Kubernetes
  • Previous experience or strong interest in FinTech is desired
