Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company developing an innovative platform for interactive fitness that will allow people to exercise through real-time and on-demand boutique studio lessons is looking for an Analytics Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for building data infrastructure that satisfies business needs. The company’s revolutionary workouts are tailor-made to fit the customers' needs, moods, goals, music styles, experience levels, and schedules. The company has managed to secure more than $1.6 bn in funding so far. This position requires 8+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Connect with relevant stakeholders to comprehend business needs 
  • Design, build, and maintain critical data pipelines and dashboards to ensure accurate and reliable business reporting
  • Monitor daily job execution and diagnose issues to ensure SLAs are met 
  • Identify data discrepancies and maintain clear and up-to-date code to ensure business requirements and ETL logic match
  • Make data model and ETL code improvements to improve pipeline efficiency and data quality
  • Contribute to the company’s Looker data models by creating and maintaining new and existing views
  • Own data import/export pipelines

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in an analytics engineering, business intelligence, or technical data analytics role
  • Prior experience with SQL and ETL optimization techniques, especially within cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, and/or Redshift
  • Demonstrable experience and familiarity with version control software (Git)
  • Experience with data pipeline management technologies with dependency checking, such as Airflow, schema design, and dimensional data modeling tools (dbt)
  • Extensive experience with data visualization technologies, such as Looker or Tableau
  • Experience in LookML Development
  • Experience with Python, data ingestion tools (such as Fivetran, Stitch, Alooma, or Matillion), and the AWS ecosystem (Redshift, S3, Spectrum)
  • Ability to demonstrate tools, business intuition, and attention to detail for data validation and QA
  • Excellent English communication skills, particularly when explaining technical or sophisticated matters to less technical co-workers
  • Experience working with digital and offline media data (such as Facebook, Google, programmatic, TV, and streaming audio) 
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing measurement concepts (i.e., Multi-touch attribution)
  • Prolific experience in SQL and Redshift 
  • Experience in Git, Airflow, and DBT
  • Experience with Looker and 5tran for data ingestion 
  • Nice to have experience in Python 
  • Strong fundamentals around version control
