Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Participate in front-end/back-end development, maintain design artifacts, and ensure testability and other applicable non-functional requirements
  • Ensure code maintainability, modularity, and high performance
  • Conduct automated unit testing with high code coverage, regular code reviews, and maintaining good coding practices
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables by troubleshooting and debugging software
  • Prepare and maintain the code, design, and other technical documentation

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience as a desktop application developer or similar role (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  • Hands-on experience working through the full product cycle from initial design to final product delivery
  • Expertise in C#, .NET framework, Windows app development and services, and developing tools and libraries, like HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6), XML, JSON, jQuery, etc.
  • Experience with test automation and test-driven development
  • Solid understanding of version control systems such as SVN and Git
  • Ability to analyze and debug code using IDE tools and a good understanding of unit and integration testing
  • Fluency in English to ensure smooth communication with international teams/stakeholders
  • Comfortable with working full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of .NET Core, WPF, API design, and implementation
  • Understanding of databases, like PostgreSQL, chart libraries, and UI/UX design
  • Familiarity with code profiling and code analysis tools
  • Experience working with source control versioning tools, like BitBucket, Git, SVN, etc.
  • Knowledge of project management tools like Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Comfortable working in Agile teams
