Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Work with project owners and stakeholders to leverage company data and drive business solutions
  • Participate in data mining and analyzing to improve and optimize overall product development and marketing techniques
  • Assist in assessing the accuracy and effectiveness of new data sources and data accumulation techniques
  • Collaborate with software engineers and senior data specialists to develop custom data models and algorithms
  • Work with project owners and stakeholders to leverage company data and drive business solutions
  • Participate in data mining and analyzing to improve and optimize overall product development and marketing techniques
  • Assist in assessing the accuracy and effectiveness of new data sources and data accumulation techniques
  • Collaborate with software engineers and senior data specialists to develop custom data models and algorithms
  • Implement predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business needs
  • Participate in the development of company A/B testing framework and test model quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes, and analyze model performance and data accuracy

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Science job role or data engineering (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Experience working with querying databases and statistical computer languages like R, Python, SLQ, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of using web services like Redshift, S3, Spark, DigitalOcean, etc.

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Science job role or data engineering (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Experience working with querying databases and statistical computer languages like R, Python, SLQ, etc.

  • Knowledge of analyzing data from 3rd party providers using different tools like Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Adwords, Facebook Insights, etc.
  • Proficient with collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating large amounts of data and creating data architectures
  • Fluency in English for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Knowledge of Hadoop and other Big Data tools, ML concepts
  • In-depth understanding of Java, JavaScript, C, C++, and other programming languages
